Default Question about Operation Weserubung

Hey, does anyone know if in the GWX 1.03 of SH3, if the British ships actually leave Scapaflow on April 7th, 1940 as they did in real life (on their way to Norway).

It's just a few days away for me, and I was thinking of slipping up there and laying in waite for them. But I'd hate to sit there for a whole day, only to realize that they instead "Spawn" over at Norway.

Well, as far back as the original GW, the German ships started off Wilhelmshaven. I can't look at my computer to check, but I'll bet they do.

On the other hand, being there ahead of time requires knowledge that you probably wouldn't have.

bigboywooly:

Is that to prevent weirdnesses, like ships popping out of nowhere before your eyes, or inexplicably cloning themselves?

It's good to know, either way.

TBH I have no idea
Maybe both

But it saves you sitting on a spot waiting for units to appear
lol

I remember taking on a task force up at, er, near Trondehjm. It was stationary. Was 3 troop ships, 3 destroyers and a Fiji class. This was stock SH3 when I did this.

I lucked out and sank all of them! As I was leaving the burning mess behind me, I saw some ME-109's come in, and thought, "Too late boys! I beat ya to them! Ha!"

As I got far away, I looked back with my scope and low and behold, the ships had all respawned again!

I was cussing up a storm! If only there were more torpedos on board! :rotfl:

You could have sunk them again but you wouldnt have been credited with the kill

That TF has been re worked for 1.04 and will exit on end of trip not just sit there for 4 years
