Default How underarmed are the SH3 elcos?

have a look at http://www.ptboats.org/20-05-05-drawings-002.html < that and see what i mean.

this elco (80) is the closest one i could find that matches our annoying friend ingame but... is that 2 depth charges i see mounted on the side? If its true shouldn't we attempt to arm these annoying little... things with depth charges for the sake of realism?

(!! some even had 5inch rockets!! )

I want the Elco's to have torpedoes in the next SH! That would teach you VERY quickly to ram the 'C' button from then on..

That would also generate some funny situations:

> Kaleun! incomming Torpedo!
< No, those are ours WO.
> But..
< Quiet! I'm calculating AOB.

BOOM

As far as I understand, the pilot is inside the cabin on Schnellboots. It is only Elco which needs the pilot on the bridge.

I used to gun down the Elcos with AA. But now I treat them like any other warship and avoid them, just pretending they are as dangerous as they should be.

Yeah I noticed the long narrow slits in the armor where the pilot is supposed to see out and now I know why I got rammed in the river at Lorient by a crazy AI Schnellboot, heck they can't see.

But as far as those "Elco's" go they have their radios to call big brother so they really don't need to much of anything else except their speed.

They should call them Little Snitch instead of Elco.

The default elco's are rather helpless as it is owing to the lack of AI torpedo firing. I had a custom mission with an attack by a fleet of schnellboots (sp) on a pedestal-type convoy in the med. The little boats bravely steamed into the center of the formation firing their mg's only to get blown up one by one after taking hits from the escorts. Some were apparently destroyed by a Victory Ship. Humiliating and pointless.

Not if you meet one of mine with "virtual" torpedoes.
