Default P-3C Orion (MAD) - Need help

Hi guys. Help me please!
I set a speed of 154 knots and an altitude of 145 feet above the sea level but was not enough to light up the green lights and get the information from the emitter.
The question is how to do it? In a speed below 154 knots? The airplane will stall. Turn off the Auto Pilot? I can't control the Orion. That's it.
Thank you for any answer.

300 feet and 'slow' speed has worked fine for me. Did you remember to turn the MAD sensor on? That's the only thing I can think of. If you hear the mega-annoying MAD noise, contacts should automatically be reported when you fly over them (unless they are really deep).

Default Thank you

First of all thanks for helping me. The sub indentified by the buoys is under 176 feet, but as I said I can't get the green leds light up. I turn the autocrew off, I hear the voice "Mad, Mad, Mad" and the window below the green leds do not open. Nothing is registered in the screen above. I really don't know. I think I'll becoming really mad

to have the green light, there is nothing about MAD/SAD at all
it concern your weapons only, so =>
check if you opened the door, assign the torp to the target or to a bearing but ASSIGN the torp, here is your problem.
then you will have the green light

Also because of the way torpedoes are stacked in the bombay, the lower ones must be dropped first. If you select upper one (which is blocked by the lower one) you cant drop it (and wont get green light). Just select next position (or try to use nav map Engage menu).

Default OK I'll do it

Thank you fellows.
I'll restart the mission. I guess I did everything wrong since the beginning.
I'll report you back the results.
Regards

Are you referring to the leds in the MAD/ESM station? If you are, then those leds represent the signal strength indicator of the ESM sensor. They have nothing to do whatsoever with the MAD sensor, which is represented just by the graph in the right side of the screen. The lines (red and blue) will deviate from the centerline when a contact is detected. You will hear the MAD call, and see a contact appear in the nav map.

Seems to me your MAD sensor is operating correctly, and there's no reason to become... mad.

Default Ok.

Thank you for your explanation. I'll play again the mission "SOS HANDOVER' again.
Regards.

Default I know...

I know I was wrong about the green lights in the ESM screen; I know I am upset with this mission that I play in the novice level. But still now I don't what the expression "spawned both Akulas" means. This is part of a critical goal in the mission SOSUS HANDOVER. I guess it means to get a complete and secure confirmation of the submarine ID and this is a hard task to me. The sonars receive from the sonobuoys the information and bring up the library where I found a name: AKULA. The frequencies 51, 125, 320 and 1125, which I input in Alert warn me that has a submerged Akula. However I did not get the class information enough to complete the goal: "spawned" and disable both Akulas". In other words I can not identify correctly the sub to accomplish the mission without having red words in my log: INCOMPLETE . Well, I don't want to bother you experienced sims but if you any other suggestion...!
Thank you all.

Some "goals" are not supposed to be completed. In my opinion, they should have been made events instead, which are hidden to the user.
