Question about applying for transfer

When one apply to be transfer, one only go or all the crew come along?

Everyone goes with you. Once transfered, you have to make 4 patrols from that base before you can transfer again.

The first time I transfer to get a better boat, I tried to transfer after that 1st patrol out of there, and I thought it said 4. Could be wrong.

why does it just automaticly puts you at your new harbor. Example: I got transfred to italy and i didnt get to run the straight of gibralter.

i think they proberbly would transfer by land or air and get a new boat when they get there
