Sunken ship

I wonder if they got this idea from CB, this is something he did in SH2, a sunken ship:

I found it sailing through the Solent, it's mast was stuck up but when I got closer I went below the waves and there she lay with bubbles making their way to the surface. Is this on purpose to act as an obstacle or is it a mistake, I think on this occasion it is a mistake?

Probably got overwhelmed by a storm. It can happen.
