Default Question about tga files in DAT files

Hi,

I have several questions about the tga files which are included in the *.dat files.

1.) Does anyone know in which dat file I can find the file 'wood_deck.tga'?

2.) Is it a problem to insert a tga file with 24 Bit color depth into a dat file if the original tga file has 16 Bit color depth? Can this cause troubles?

3.) Does anyone know a freeware/open-source program to change the color depth to 16 Bit?

I hope you can help me. Thanks a lot for the help!

Cheers, LGN1

well can help you with the first question
the .tga you want is the (shipname)complete.tga in the .dat
I have used pack3d to import a .tga after working on it but there may be other ways
