Default Assigning a Torp Strike Point

As I understand it from some of the posts, you can assign a torp to hit a particular part of a ship if you have the vulnarability mod and have locked the target, but do you left or right click to assign it ? I have tried both and sometimes I notice that the vulnarability sections darken in colour, sometimes it works for me sometimes not.

The ships have vulnerable points with just the vanilla version of the game. The vulnerability mod just gives you the info.

You must be less than 1000m away from the ship and AOB must be around 80 degrees, then you can select the zone (left-click). The torpedo depth will be set automatically.
