I was wondering, weren't midship keel break-up's a rare occurrence in real life? I believe that most sinkings was simply a matter of blasting a hole(s) -> ship lists to one side/port/stern -> takes on more water -> capsizes or sinks upright.
I have seen ships sink in the upright position but almost never capsise (wich in spectaculair to watch, especially when the ship has trucks/tanks or planes onboard. Any thoughts on this?
