Default Nevending anti-sub nets?

When I load games in SH III (I've always had this problem, but just got to asking now) it sounds like I have a nebelwurfer next to each ear, or a loud sound as if something was scraping against the side of my boat. It happens when I'm at 30m in the middle of the Atlantic, at port (still surfaced). I'm patched up to 1.4b and II'm using the Harbor Traffic mod. Any clues? Thanks!

I think I have the same thing happening. Based on when it started happening I assume it's related to the harbor mod.

But it's happening away from harbors, and the harbor mod hasen't added much traffic. No traffic at Brest, but did get a radio message from a surface vessel.
