Ported in Bordeaux, I switched from my IXC to the IXD2. I went to leave the UBoat Pen and then there were damage sounds like I was being rammed. I went to the bridge view and everything was, visually, wiggling or moving rapidly back and forth. It sank with all hands dead! I restarted the game from that point and went to the external view, finding the very tip of the rear of the sub embedded into the wall.....

Had this exact problem my friend, stopped me playing for a few months.
Heres how to fix it: Open up the file: SilentHunter3\data\Campaigns\Campaign\Campaign_LND .mis with notepad. Look for: [Unit 36] Name=Bordeaux Class=NavalBase Type=407 Where it says Long/Lattitude, change the co-ordiantes to these over the top of the ones that are there: Long=-103695.000000 Lat=5447206.000000 Heading=0.000000 ^^^these are the ones you want This is the location that the sub will spawn (which is in a pen) It will be free of the wall at this position. |

Yeah that was a bummer all right, a good old SH3 bug that never got fixed by the Devs but someone on this forum made a fix for it.
Not sure who but I'm sure someone will come along fairly quick and let you know. Good luck. ![]() Edit: Boy that was quick, thanks urseus for letting him ( and the rest of us ) know. ![]()

Had this problem at this exact port, put me off playing since may.
After watching dasboot again i had to play, but i had to fix. I would not be stopped. Now i have this god dam crash to desktop problem., |
