Default Does anyone know what has happened to U-534

I just wondering what U-534 looks like today. A long lost mate of mine took this and a few other of U-534 photos in Jan/Feb 2000 for me. (see what AU$ do.) Wondering now I have the hang of scanning photos and uploading stuff, would this community like to see more of my photos. Should I post them here and send them to Terrapins site (sorry for the hassle Terra , computers are never fast enough, whether they were in the '80's or current )or just send them to Terrapins and let him be the JUDGE.

for those of you that don't know U-534 that fuzzy writing says "sunk May 1945- Raised August 1993

(For you 56k peoples sorry I didn't do a thumbnail its because someone reckons I am datamining you lot, so I am not doing thumbnails anymore, unless I am told otherwise)

There are a fair number of websites about U534 and it's current state, this one's from google and it has some recent pics at the bottom of the page.

This is now a fantastic historical site to visit. There is a museum containing all the equipment they pulled off the sub, including BA, an enigma (If I remember rightly), pot & pans, crew personal items etc.

Then you get a guided tour of the sub - but can't take internal photos, unfortunately. The sub is unrestored, which I think is a good idea, as it is effectively a time capsule just as it was when the crew abandoned the boat in 1945 - pretty moving experience, actually...

Thank you Mr Bradbury your comments gave me a hope, you are not the only to think that. I don't mean to not restore items but to let peoples/vehicles/items who have seen enough battle to rest in peace. That adds character to the story.
