Default Grammaphone - Newbie

What am I doing wrong? I click on the Radioman - Grammaphone, then on the 3 icons, but no music. What gives?

I'm on 1.2.

Thanks in advance,

Default game only has one very short file in the gramaphone directory and it sounds like the background music anyay. Grab a few of the music packs from the Gramaphone section from here

http://u-boot.realsimulation.com/

drop them into your Gramaphone directory and you will be set to go.

You can also search The Community Manual for "gramophone".

And why are you still running 1.2?

Greetings to the Avon Lady-

I'm on 1.2 because apart from the Gramaphone, I've had no problems.

After reading about all of the bugs in RUb 1.43 in this forum, I just elected not to "upgrade".

Best regards,

smcj

The RUB 1.43 an SH3 patch 1.4 are two different stories. The second one is a game patch and the first one is an addon to make this sim more reallistic. I think that you should update your game to 1.4 version, it has some rally nice improvements in comparision to 1.2 (and less bugs). You're really lucku as I still have to wait for 1.4 PL patch

Which bugs? Are you aware that a RUb 1.43 patch exists? Available from Beery's SH3 downloads page. ReadMe:
Quote:
RUb 1.43 port fix patch:

-Added missing base markers, including Freetown, Halifax, Port of Spain, San Fernando and Djakarta.

-Fixed the markers on all friendly ports, so that a uboat can spawn there without any issues. This was broken before in most non-flotilla ports and Bergen.

-Large Cargo tonnage reduced.

Remember to save IN PORT before applying this patch.

Be careful what you play out of those downloadable gramophone packs.

I recently started seeing a German girl and she was rather.. err.. surprised to find what I was listening to while playing the game.

Apparently Bomben auf England, Deutschland Uber Alles, Das SS Lied and Am Adolf Hitler Platz aren't looked upon too kindly these days...

You should have seen her face when I started humming along to Der Fuhrer Ruft SA Voren.

I laughed but I think she's having second thoughts about this relationship :P
