The stutter is almost "normal" dependings on mods.

I have full on all setting for the in games:

My config is AMD 64 sdocket 754 3000+ / 1Go Ram ddr pc3200 fsb 400 / G nvidia 6800 GT

Yes, the explosions are heavy on the graphics card, especially the modded ones. Explosions should only be viewed from longe range through the scope/UZU...

hmm - I get some "stuttering"-like slowdown from time to time on the nav map in high TC, which may or may not be related to whether there are target ships nearby (I've read that it is but haven't been able to establish a pattern of this for myself), but I never have seen any stuttering during other aspects of gameplay, including torpedo/ship explosions.

My rig is exactly the same as above specs (except I think my RAM is maybe pc2700 or whatever is just below the 3200) - then again, I play at 100% so the only explosions I ever see are from relatively long range through the periscope or UZO, like another poster said they should be viewed, so maybe that's why I'm not seeing the stuttering

Video card settings make the difference. For example, if you have anti aliasing all the way up then stutter is more likely. There are several settings that if they are all the way up will cause a prettier picture but a slower framerate.

yeah - forgot to mention that my driver settings (using 77.77 betas at this point) are as follows:

Antialiasing = 4x
Anistropic Filtering = 8x
Image Settings = High Quality
V-synch = on

(all the other "advanced settings" I don't fully understand are on the driver's default settings - some on and some off)

As stated in other post above, some stuttering/slowdowns during high TC on nav map, but none noticed anywhere else in game play, explosions or otherwise
