Default RUB 1.43 or FF 2.0/2.1???

I was just wondering which one of these mods do you guys like best ?
I am currently playing with FF 2.1 and I am very pleased with it.
Have heard a lot of good things abour RUB though.

Maybe some of you guys out there who have tried both mods, could give me/us a comparison of those 2 masterpieces.

regards Holger

Hello,
Front flotilla is a bunch of mods done by the "9te U-Flotille" (9th U-flotilla), it comes with an installer and has been adapted to the last 1.4b patch (in fact the 1.4b patch is in included in the 34 mb download of FF and installs automatically with the FF mod). There are a lot of enhancements and i like it very much, however i installed the RUB 1.42 mod (1.43 when i'm back from the high seas ) and added some others. The RUB mod now includes some of the FF mod, so there is no need to install both anyway.

I thought the FF mod to be much better than the first RUB coming out, but the later RUB versions incorporate much more enhancements considering realism that i doubt the FF mod has it all. After all the RUB is updated and worked upon all the time, so it might be better to use this one. And there's certainly the operations mod in that new RUB ...

FF: Some info and download here (it is in german language):

It is very good, i especially like the radio mod they included - it is in german language and relates to real occurances in the appropriate times. You can install this mod as a single one into the RUB one as well.

Greetings,
Catfish

this is great, but the dl is pretty huge for a dialup. is this because it contains all the SH3 patches? if so is there a option to just dl the main mod you have and if so how big is it. i wont dl anything larger than 100mbs otherwise it will take forever!

That´s not the main reasons. Some numbers (FF2.0 archive): "Interior" dir 169MB, "Sound" dir 67MB, "Textures" dir 148MB.

No, that´s not possible.
