I believe that is intentional.

Check the readme file.

The Hull Interity percentage was removed in an erleier version of SH3Cmm and/or RUB.

Makes for interesting times when you start wondering just how much damage you have taken. The percentage is shown in the end of patrol report.

Once got rammed by a Coastal Merchant (my fault), and then hit the sub nets on my return to port, which resulted in flooding, and damaged hull sections. At the end of the mission I was still at 86%. Another time I took what I thought was relatively minor damage as the result of a fighter bombing me on the surface; got back and found I was 16%!

Does spice the game up.

Sorry I don't know.

I do know that you are unlikely to get a response from Beery who has understandably strong views on the issue of messing with his team's mods.

Try it though, I do recommend it.

I've never seen an U-boat with a hull-integrity-meter! This is not Star Trek! A real captain will never know for sure if there is a weakened weld seam or not! Even a damage inspection on the surface won't help here. Only in dock the actual hull-integrity can be determined! If you have suffered battle damage, it's a wise idea to RTB!

Children, play nice!

To restore the hull integrity meter, look here.

Well, a real U-boat commander had visual damage to estimate. The crew ccould check things out etc.

I do not think the commanders roamed the atlantic without a clue if threre U-Boat would sink when it hits the next wave or if it is 100% undamaged.

I do bevlieve that some commanders decided to return to port when there U-Boat was severly damaged. How can we take this decision when we don't know if our bot is sinking or is undamaged?

Yeah, you're absolutely right, I think it's player's choice to have an integrity meter displayed or not, it's the answer that made me laugh.

Oops wrong thread again.
Recently i'm being thrown out of Subsim without being able to log in again. If this happens as i just wrote a message and clicked "submit", this message will appear somewhere (randomly?) in another thread.
Greetings,
Catfish
I'll copy this over at the appropriate forum -

Hello,
in fact i find the stealth meter along with the hull integrity measured in percent the most unrealistic things that the sim offers - good it can be turned off. You cannot measure the hull integrity, you can only talk of damaged sealings, buckled steel plates and make a rough guess how deep you might go ... maybe you could do it today if you installed a laser measuring system and nano technology measuring stress and strain of the hull ...
Then the "we have been detected " message is also nonsense, but you can certainly put the file back you want
Greetings,
Catfish

I don't think that you should make it apear if you want to use SHIII commander to the fullest. Sorry but my oppinion. I normally hold counts with how many times I have to repar my boat while sailing. If you haven't been DC'ed or been diving to deep, then there are a good chance that your boat are at 100% still.
I love that it's gone, because it told me exatly how my subs condition were. It's correct that you would get different kinds of observations from your crew, but they coulden't check the pressurehull, which is exatly what the hull integrity meter does.

There's a separate thread about SH3 Commander 1.43, with all the info you need.

In short, you can install it anywhere you want on your hard drive.
