Default Diving time hardcoded ?

Hi all, i'm testing things around. I've managed to found
most of the informations i'm seeking
(both in cfg files or sim, and the like). But seems
that particular one is not around, if someone know
more about it ?

Thanks for any information or clues.

You can try the CFG files, but I would look in DATA/Submarine/'uboatname' folder. There is the CFG, DAT, and SIM file. for a guess.

I bet there isn't a single value for dive time. Instead I bet it is based on things like displacment, forward speed, and other factors.

Thanks for the idea, but i've already turned
around in those files in the submarine data.

But we have clear value like the 47 seconds
(42 or 47 don't remember exactly) for the IXD2
for exemple. That's what i was seeking for.

Thanks for any clue

Probably! But if you check the soundfiles, there is three options for diving commands (im not counting crash dive now), it's normal, steep and "slow" dive (or something like it). The option game provides is "normal" dive. Maybe there is som way to change dive angle, but on other hand there are lot more sounds that don't follow whats possible in the game. Looks like ambiton from Devteam has been to have more command options from the beginning.
