I'm trying to create a mission where I fly the helo around and spot targets for a pair of Harriers to bomb. The idea was that I'd write a trigger that would fire when I promoted a land-based object I wanted bombed and that would run a script telling the Harriers to bomb it. It doesn't seem to work quite the way I thought it would, though.
Any ideas on how to do this? |

What in detail is the problem?
Here's what you gotta do for someone to go crazy and attack something: Make sure the planes are loaded with correct weapons, and have search transit waypoints a bit away from the targets you want to designate. Make them too far away to be fired upon, and watch it so they don't have enough radar range to go investigate the unknowns. Fly about and designate as you like. In the Nav Map, mark the contacts (with rather exact location, preferably) surface, hostile. If all is correct, the planes will come shooting. If not, try tweaking the waypoints about a little. No scripts needed! ![]()
