WOS save wont load I keep crashing

Hello fellas,

After I have been inactive for a very long time, I decided to reinstall SH5 and download the mod Wolves of Steel. The installation process was easy and I had no big issues except one.

Whenever I appear in the bunker for the first time I save it and then I go back to the main menu. Secondly I load the gamesave and everything should work (Just like the instruction says). BUT when I try to load that gamesave, my game crashes and I get sent back to my desktop.

I dont get any Error messages or anything like that. It just crashes.

Since I havent activated any mods yet (JSGME) I dont really know what the problem is.

I patched the "sh5.exe" file. I followed the install instructions and everything seems to work except this little detail, which is necessary to play the game without any harmful bugs ...
My antivirus system (Bitdefender) also doesnt prevent the game from anything and the "sh5.exe" file is running on administrator, windows 7 compatibility and DPI High resolution thing, turned on.
And to continue on, I´ve already reinstalled the game and reinstalled the mod but I just wont work ...

I really need help, since I really want to get back to that game.

Your saves but me too old for the latest version of WoS that you installed, check the mod page it says wich version is game breaking for your saves

edit : this is a copy paste from the mod page if it helps ..

TWoS v2.2.9 AND LATER IS NOT GAMESAVE COMPATIBLE WITH PREVIOUS VERSIONS!
START NEW CAMPAIGN!

Even though I installed the newest version of TWOS (2.2.25), I´ll give it a try.

Sadly I havent found any solution which results in, me going to try Uboat ...

The newest version is not a problem, it is your save that is not compatible with it. You should better try a new campaign, make a new save and try to reload it later to see if it works this time
