[GWX3 + ARB WideGui] Binoculars are square and just dont look right

Hello all, I am once again asking for your tech support xD

I managed to install everything I need on my Linux system and the game runs pretty good if I have to be honest. However I am getting 2 issues. One is the empty radio messages (not what this thread is about) and the other is that my binoculars look like this:

I found another thread here which describes the same issue, but the solutions are to use a different WideGui mod which is not something I am willing to do. Does anyone have any solutions for this issue while using ARB WideGui?

Also, because I searched for the latest version of ARB WideGui but Im unsure if I did infact find the truly latest version, could someone please confirm that to me?
