I like Classic Who especially Troughten, pertwee and Tom Baker That was its peak IMO, Davison, C baker and McCoy ephisodes were also enjoyable but the cracks were starting to show by then, I was quite a fan as an 80s kid but not been fussed about it post 2005 reboot, didnt even enjoy Tennent all that much and gave up on it from there, I hear the writing has really gone down the toilet now.

Yes, the show began to decline in the after Matt Smith, the writing and the stories began to be more appealing for "modern audiences" and it went down the will since 2018.
