I'm reinstalling this game a long hiatus and some experience with Trigger Maru 2.5.

Can someone key me into the latest and best megamod that transforms the game hopefully into something I've never seen before?

So the game isn't running in Windows 10.....unless this is an easy fix I am sunk!

there is a Win10 forum that you should review. start with the latest posts, first, because Microsoft keeps making updates that get in this old game's way.

We Dive at Dawn, U class, it's a fun boat, and the British Med campaign is a good time.

So I got it running and remarkably I remember most of the keyboard shortcuts.

Now, before I install the U-Boats mission pack I'm looking for the most realistic and transformative mega-mod anyone can recommend.

Trigger Maru 2.5 did a lot to that affect, but surely there must have been a lot of work done in my time away.

Any recommendations and justifications for why it'd be a combination of realism and graphics transformation?

if you are returning after a sabbatical, TMO 2.5 by Ducimus is a good re-starting point.

when you want to move to something more difficult, d/l FOTRSU and play that, first with the default settings and then with the more difficult settings.

Next question.....can you post the link for FOTRSU 1.8 which is what I think I need to download?

Also, what's the deal with the AddInModzPak_18.7z which I thought was the FOTRSU 1.8 file but couldn't possibly be given the small size.

Sorry for so many questions, but I really don't want to screw up my installation after finally getting it to work.

NEVERMIND....I found it and after some insecure download messages it's inbound, albeit 2 hours out.......the waiting begins.

lots of supplementary documentation will be included in both the main mod and the addin mods pack. read it. you will thank yourself.
and...for a bonus...there is a dedicated FOTRSU thread with like 100,000 pages of posts, most of which relates to FORTSU (lol).

So close!

I installed version 1.5, activated FOTRS 1.8, however the game crashes to desktop when I try a training mission. Sometimes I enter the mission, but crash out shortly thereafter after the sound starts to stutter.

Any quick ideas?
