Voyager 1 space craft is about 18,000,000,000 miles from Earth. Unfortunately, while the spacecraft can still receive and process instructions from Earth, it seems to have lost the capability to transmit data back to Earth.
Voyager 1 is 46 years old. It is so far away that it takes 22.5 hours for commands sent from Earth to reach the spacecraft. Therefore, the team must wait 45 hours to receive a response. Lets hope that NASA can fix this problem.
