Default How to take a picture

Just that. How to do a screen capture while in SH3? I have the graphics looking nice now with the Onealex mod and GWX3. Plus tweaking the Nvidia settings.

Hi Pat
To take a screenshot in SH3 Cntrl + F11 (Places screen shots inside main SH3 Game folder)
Also Windows key + printscreen (Places screenshots in your pictures folder in your documents)

Kind Regards blackswan40.

Thanks! It looks like the ctrl-F11 saves a .bmp picture, so for portability I would want to convert to jpg. I'll have to experiment with that. Didn't try the Window key+printscreen option yet.

Use Paint dot net or similar (GIMP), and convert to jpg format. You can usually set the compression to below 90 and still not introduce too much artifact. The Windows keys save to a bmp format also.

I have tried the Windows key+printscreen combo. It works well and gives the quick blip to the screen so you know it did it. And the Pictures folder is a good place. Yes I have a program or two that will convert bmp to jpg or other formats. I tried a couple of screenshots to convert to about the 80 level in jpg and they came out n the 600 to 800K size. Good enough for me.

Thanks,

Pat
