Type XXI Start

So I wanted to start a campaign with the Type XXI super submarine but it seems you can't even in 1945 they make you start with a Type VII. Is there any way to let yourself have the XXI from the start?

If you use SH3 Commander before launching the game, you may start a new career using the SH3C’s interface. Make sure you chose a late war start date. Then, look through the different u-boat units until you find one that uses Type XXIs. Select the Type XXI from the u-boat type drop-down menu, and you’ll be good to go
