If you have not considered this ...
We all know that there are times when a save made is unlikely to reload. But perhaps an evasion takes 3 real hours submerged, and you don't have the time. Since WinXP, there has been a hibernate features in Windows. It simply dumps the image of memory. When you boot, the machine does not initialize, but reloads memory. If this works for you, you literally can come up two days later right in the middle of your evasion. I just finished building a new PC (i9-13900KS + RTX 4090) with M.2 SSD (gen 4) with 4 lanes right to the CPU. That's no more than 15 seconds to hibernate and 15 seconds to reload. This pretty takes care of SH3 flakey save situations.
