How do i get auto id of ships and avoid them being grey on map

I like SH3 so much i got GWX3. After setting it up so i actually could see other ships i ran into the trouble of identification of them. I am not so good at doing this and now i ask if there is anything to auto id ships. I tried to id myself and despite me id a English heavy cruiser it was still grey on the map
