Default 19 Crimes-Wine

I had told my lady that we could go anywhere she liked for dinner on St. Valentines day. She told me she would rather stay home as the restaurants would be very crowded by the time we got there. At that point, I had also offered to make dinner and again, anything she wanted. She opted for my world renowned and authentic Italian Spaghetti with a rich, homemade Tomato sauce.

We had purchased 5 bottles of Wine a few years ago from a local winemaker after having discovered the wine with some friends of ours. We had one bottle left. We have 4 winemakers that are relatively close to us. They all make great wines. I chose a good, local red Wine that we had, to go with dinner.

I rediscovered a few bottles of 19 crimes Wine in my bar that I had been given. They were Cabernet Sauvignon's, which are a bit dry for my tastes. 19 Crimes Wines originate from Australia, according to the label.

I was curious if any of our friends from Australia like Reece or Eisenwurst or anyone else has tried the 19 crimes Wine and their thoughts. 19 Crimes Wines seem to have a variety of Wines including what I have. The Wine is also relatively inexpensive.

I don't know anything about the wine itself, but I do know there is a phone app that makes the people on the bottle talk and tell you what crimes they committed. It's pretty neat.

I like this fella’s opinion I think he’s well worth listening to. In fact, I think the whole channel is pretty good. Especially when Brad Leone is working, he’s hilarious.

If it is not Thunderbird or Night Train, I am afraid I can't help you.

We used stop at Roosevelt Roads Navy Base to fuel up before continuing on patrol and points south. Also taking advantage of the massive stock of cheap booze on hand at the base exchange. Both of those fine wines you mentioned above were always on the list mainly because they didn’t freeze. We would cram as many as we could in the reefer, always having icy cold ones readily available no matter which island port we hit.

cool

What’s the word? Thunderbird!
How’s it sold? Good and cold.
What’s the jive? Bird’s alive.
What’s the price? Thirty twice.

Never heard of them CW. According to the net, they're based in Melbourne and have/had??? a collaboration with some US celebrities to flog some of their grog.

I'm teetotal so never touch the stuff....well apart from an occasional cold bottle of Metho on a hot day, or some home brew I got bubbling away in the chook shed . By the way...thanks for the tip Big E, the Flip Flow valve from the catheter comes in real handy for that, and is also a great conversation piece

Thank you very much, everyone, for the input. The video from Rockstar helped a good bit as well. I have no idea how I even came to be in possession of the 19- Crimes Wine. I vaguely remember being given the bottles I have. I know I certainly didn't purchase them. I much prefer English Port / desert wines such as Grahams, if I have any at all. Taylor's is an also inexpensive alternative.

I guess I will chill a bottle and open it. What's the worst that can happen aside from ruining dinner.

@ Sean. I saw the talking app as well. I thought they are pretty cool.

Thanks again, everyone.
