I just want to your opinion in this matter, a type VIIC u-boat or the type IXC u-boat.
I just wanted to know because right now I am having a dilemma on which to get. Please answer the poll and tell me your opinion and reasons as to why you have picked this u-boat from the two. From the depths...

IXC, in my view, wins in the long run,

VII, stealth is the number one priority for me and VII is smaller than IX. Type II does not have the range nor weaponry, so VIIC is a nice compromise.

I vote for VIIC !

For tooling around anywhere east of the GI-UK gap a VIIC is a more suvivable ride.
I'm really enjoying the juicy, under-defended caribbean tanker convoys at the moment, so my IXC is the right choice. I guess it depends on what you want to do with your next boat.

I can't decide either.
I guess VIIC, because it turns and dives faster. But the IXC can stay out longer. hmmmmmmm... |

Always been a VIIB/C guy. Just a great looking boat.
Can't beat that dive time and if you stop at milk cows or supply ships you can go almost anywhere. Heard there is a mod now that corrects the 'giant' watch crew on type IXs. That always bugged me when I took out a IX. Will have to try it out.

I vote for the IXC
More torpedoes (though depends on weather to move the externals in) Long range And I like it better as a picture |

Hard to choose but I'll go with the type IX. (b or c doesn't really make that much of a difference) I like the VII for it's manoeuvreability and faster diving.
But the IX has a lot more torpedoes. And you can sail her to the Caribbean! Those two combined offer the possibility of multiple-month patrols ![]() And the IX looks good. (The VII too, but the IX just slightly better IMO) So I'll vote type IX, but I love (and use) them both.

The IX's are hard hitters. I DO like how VII's handle underwater, though.

I run a separate career from each available flotilla, so I use both, as well as the Type II which you just left right off.

IX every time....see the world and have a heavier punch when it comes to the fight.
Unless the Type XXIII is available of course. |

VIIC for the maneuverability... Quick dive, in and out and spin on a dime...
