I have SH3 and GWX GOLD 3.0 I have already done 4 patrols my question is can I now install Mods like:
Lifeboats and Debris v4 Damage texture 1.0 Do I need to reinstall fresh SH3? I have JSGME already. If I can just Install the Mods could I have advice on how. ![]() |

I know you can activate "Modified Version of LifeBoats&Debris for Sh3 V2A" via JSGME with no problems. I know nothing about "Damage texture 1.0". I did a search on it and it appears to be fine too and looks pretty good. You might want to do a Google search for yourself, to be sure. I use "Anzacmicks Damage Immersion". It looks fantastic and I don't have any issues. It's JSGME ready too. If your using MFM3.3, there is a patch for "Anzacmicks Damage Immersion" that you might want to activate. You don't need to reinstall. Place the downloaded mods in the MOD folder of your SH3 install. Run JSGME and these mods, "Modified Version of LifeBoats&Debris for Sh3 V2A" and "Damage texture 1.0" will be listed in the left hand pane. Select the mod you want to activate (1 at a time) and hit the >. It will now be listed in the right hand pane of JSGME. It will load when to start SH3. While your in JSGME look for a mod called "GWX Enhanced Damage Effects". Try this one first. It's not bad either. I advise against using 2 damage mods at the same time, you only need 1 anyway. hope this helps
Up Date: "LifeBoats and Debris v4" isn't for GWX3, the README says "GWX2.1 ONLY, Modified Version of LifeBoats&Debris for Sh3 V2A. By Iambecomelife. Will work for GWX3

1. Before using the mods, take a look through them & make sure that they are JSGME formatted correctly... Most are, but every once in a while... a few may miss the mark on being properly set up, so... it pays to check. Sometimes, in the heat of putting them together... a slight mistake can occur... just know that I appreciate the work that they put into doing them. ![]() ![]() 2. Before activating the additions, to a set up that is rocking it... make a backup copy of the save folder... on the off chance, that the added in mods, cause... conflicts/issues.... errors, in the mix. Used my saved copy SH3 the game works fine now without Lifeboats and damage Mods. I added open hatch mod and enhanced damage and the Jsgme added them both to my game with no hassles. When I read about Lifeboats in the read me it says it is only compatible with GWX version 2.0?? Still don't have damage and lifeboats??? help?? |

Used my SH3 saved copy to reopen the game. Have installed: Open Hatch mod Enhanced Damage mod Later in the war Antenna and periscope mod. They all work fine Soon as I added Wooden boats Mod my game crashed???? |

Did you patch the SH3.exe, with either a 4GB patch... or use Large Address Aware... with it. ![]() Since this is... an older game, originally done up to run on not quite so... sofisticated machines as what's available now... the 4 gig patch & LAA, for short... tell newer computers to assign the .exe access to 4 gigs of RAM. NOT that the game will utilize all that, just that it has an assigned privilege to do so. Myself, with the, 2 SH3 set ups I run... I have them tagged by LAA, & they run fine with it. 1 of those is... Fifi's enhanced hardcore NYGM mix (the latest set up, at that... ![]() ![]() M. M.
