Max depth of Torpedo launch

US boats could launch torpedoes up to around 150 ft or so, depending on the class. I've noticed the max depth for uboats in DW is 20 meters. Is this historically accurate or too shallow?

That’s correct at least for the main front types.

Thanks. Seemed a bit shallow but suppose different designs and all.

I am in a Type VIIC currently.
