A question for the old hands. When patroling a grid or making you way to a grid, what impact if any does time compression have on spotting ships? The game interrupts you and takes the time down x8 and gives a you a plot on a map. But I am always concerned that whizzing through an area sort of skips past potential targets before the game has time to alert you. Although I am not suggesting trying to do a patrol in real time

TC won't affect ship encounters much. However it can affect aircraft encounters. Anything above 256x may have you not encountering aircraft when you should.
