Hi all,

I'm going to be honest and say that I really only joined the forum so I could get access to some mods/fixes for Silent Hunter III (I found the forum via a Steam guide on getting the game to run correctly on a newer PC), but I might just stick around and pop my head in from time to time.

SHIII is my first subsim, although I've played surface naval games in the past (Victory at Sea, Battlestations Midway, Battlestations Pacific).

I have a general interest in military topics, not just naval, although I'm by no means an expert in any field. I mainly indulge my interest through games, whether they're computer games or tabletop wargames. I also enjoy war films, of course, although I've yet to watch Das Boot (shocking, I know).

Anyway, that's my introduction. Thanks for having me.
