Wow, this is a huge loss to baseball. Not only was Hank Aaron one of the best professional baseball players to ever play, he was an ambassador of the game as well. Hank paved the way for other black athletes to move into sports and was a true trail blazer. Quiet and soft spoken, he let his playing speak for him which in this case, was volumes.
His 755 home runs lasted until 2007 when it was broken by Barry Bonds. Rest in peace Hank and thanks for stopping by. |
