Hi guys
Few days ago i made a clean installation with GWX 3.0 and some mods and noticed even from fall of 1940 i had long loading times ex 20mins. After some patrols and in spring 1941 loading time goes to 35-40mins with the red bar after so long turns to black and after a while game starts. Firstly pc specs cpu i5-7500 3,4ghz , 32gb ram gpu gtx 1050i Mods --------------- ARB WideGui 1920x1080=1 Harbor, Landscapes & Terrain Textures=2 New Lorient v1 - GWX3 Standard Missions=3 Thomsen's Sound Pack V3.2cg=4 GWX_Enhancements=5 Frozen-Harbors by Onealex=6 TKSS18 German U-Boats Compilation=7 German U-Boats Compilation 2 (only VIIB & VIIC models by WISE)=8 New U-Boat Guns Fixed Reworked (for German U-Boats Compilation)=9 FixAllSubGWX=10 SH5 Liberty Ship for SH3=11 New Pby Catalina=12 No continuous 'Ship spotted' V1.2 for GWX3=13 Convoy-Routes on Map - BL!TZKR!EG Edition=14 Officers faces ccom 12=15 WB's Mission Orders Lite v1.1=16 merchant=17 new Torpedo_HAHD_1024_GWX=18 New ships=19 New Ships m=20 Skin U-562 VIIC-Ahnenerbe=21 part of tanker 1=22 part of tanker 2=23 U-Boat IXb (Skin 1 (U-123)) Turm 1-2-3=24 New Ships w=25 Some info I have applied 4gb patch and Tycho's sh3 patch As for ship mods above i've broke them to pieces and added them one by one and mainly its mfm mod Its the first time that i added "GWX_Enhancements". Before i used mainly Ribs sh4 effects for Gwx and never loading time was so big. Also sea folder contains 262 folders Any ideas how to fix it? cheers ![]() |

Hi Nik,
I see at least 2 things in your mod list i wouldn’t have. 1) Frozen Harbors by Onealex, is made for his modpack not stock GWX 2) German U-Boat Compilation 2 by Wise, is unfinished mod hence prone to big troubles ![]() Last, my GWX_Enhancements can bring perf hits if your computer is line edge. Other than that, try to deactivate each mod one to one and see who is the culprit! ![]()

We often encounter long loading times with a large number of units. But if you can determine what exactly is affecting you, tell us.

More things added to the game whether its units or mods, the longer the loading time.

I'm just going to put this out there, I had issues with the ntcore 4gb patch. It didn't seem to make any difference at all and my game kept crashing on the load screen despite applying it multiple times.
I ended up downloading a completely different 4gb patch intended for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion of all things and applied that to SH3.exe instead of Oblivion.exe and that completely fixed issues I was having with the loading screen. I've had no crashes since and am running a similar mod loadout to you. |
