So I have been browsing the mods folder looking to see if anyone has improved the submarine death sequence.
I know it sounds morbid, but I have always felt that sequence was kind of a disservice to those who died in submarines. It doesn't have any feeling to it. The camera just kinda pans around the control room then pans up into the sky. Does anyone know if there is a mod that does something with this? Or, can someone point me in the direction, and maybe I can do it myself. Thanks!

You would think they would have a "movie" file, which would most likely be a bik file, but I can't find one, so I am going to guess that it is "internal" to the game... ??

I would assume, since it involves the camera, that it is some kind of configuration file that goes along with the camera file. Not sure though. Haven’t dived deep enough (pun intended)

Yeah, I noticed that also. Someone must know how that was done. See my idea was to maybe edit the event trigger, and instead of running the camera, play a bink video, which I would attempt to create. Basically Have Eternal Father Strong to Save (Navy Hymn) play while a video of men frantically fighting their sub slowly fades to black.

It's been many years, but there's sound files you can replace with the ones you like.

That is actually what inspired my idea. It is more poetic, and captures the terror of going down in one of these things.
