Default The easiest way I found to plot an intercept course using Distance Speed Time formula

Hi everyone,

Everyone knows that understanding the convoy radio reports is very important to be able to intercept and attack a convoy.

I have used the angle of interception method and after started using the law of sines extensively to plot intercept courses.

However over the past 3 months I have devised a method that I would like to share with you.
I can also say that I had more success with this method than with the two other methods.

This method is based solely on the distance speed time formula (distance = speed x time) and therefore does not require any trigonometry or geometry or drawing angles etc.

I made a short video here:

Would appreciate your feedback and where you do not understand pls do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks in advance.

Cool! I gotta say though, the Lat. Long chart was a bit confusing to me.
I'm still an 8th grader so this will be new to me.

Hi if you mean how to use the chart to plot, I will be soon putting up a short video explaining how to use this tool.

If it works for you, great. For me, it's too much guesswork and trial and error figuring out interception points. And it looks like you've limited yourself to three different speeds.

I prefer the angle of intercept for a given speed method. One line, one circle, and two angles. Done.
