Thank god this can never be abused by police, secret service, government or any rogue hacker [/sarcasm]
Europe can ban that for five years or whatever period they say, it will come nonetheless. What can be done, will be done, everywhere. George Orwell's "Big Brother" was a bloody amateur, and in reality total control will not necessarilay be abused by a left dictatorship. Sometimes i think the american take on guns has its advantages ![]()

Like with banning cahs money onbly to fight tax fraud and counterfeit money, face reocngition only is used for fighting cirme and findign suspects. Naive is who believes this opportunistic, one-sided, heavily biased propaganda. All these options made possible by the unfoldiug of computer technolgoy and establishing digital networks, have turned out her ein germany to intiially oscciasonaly getting abused, then getting abused in exploding case numbers, then turned into beign the norm. Especially database requests between state fofices and services of all kinds, who should - in theory - not have the ruight or ability to reqeust data form an othe rbureau'S database by routine. So far, always thew worst case xenaio ahs turened to become the norm. It will not be different here. And do not be folled. Data deletion does not exist. Anonymizing of personal data can relatively easily worked around: which means in the end that anonymous data sets do not exist. Poltics will allow private bsuienss to access this data for [enter some politician-bastards stupid rhetoric propaganda phrase]. Every state has it in its genes, no matter its constitution and system: it constantly seeks to increase its power, control and surveillance of all and everything, it always wants to pushed these further and further, there is no limit to it possible. In this the Us is dnot different form China, Britioan is not different from the GDR and North Korea is not different form germany. Every state has one attractor it moves towards, only the speed varies from state to state. This attractor is contorl, totalitarian control, totaliatrian subjugation of the individual. The worst enemies to the state are its own citizens, are free, independent, informed, freedom-loving citizens wantign to be respinsuiboe for themselves instead of having the state claiming responsibility or them. And every state treats his citizens accordingly. The worst enemy of citizens is the state, for a reason I do not understand most people simply ignore this. All these things , all of them seem to always turn into tools by which people allow to get lead into "unfreedom".

As far as data deletion is concerned All sensitive data should be encrypted and the ability to do so made more accessible and simple to use . Permissions for keys need to be validated first so there is some form of accountability.

I hope our constitution here in the USA {4th} would stop this from happening.

That's the problem with encryption, generally: the more secure the system, the more difficult it is for the average person to use. I used to use PGP, but no one else I know was using it - or even knew how to ... so there was no point in continuing. ![]()
