Auto TDC

Hi Folks,

Yes, I am new to the sim and sub sim in general .

For SH5 on easiest mode ising auto TDC. I am trying the first of the historical missions and failing miserably. I have tried every thing from aligning the numbers, to the trick where you unselect "lock" prior to firing and I am still missing an incredibly high percentage of the time. I have been told that I must keep the attack periscope pointed at the target while the torp is in the water (which I have tried), and still, I miss almost every time. I do my best to keep the bow angle close to 90 yet still I am missing with the crosshairs on the target. Ideally, I would like to fire and dive (or lower the scope) but that does not seem to work for accuracy either. I have tried using spread, still missing.

What am I missing? Is there something in a config file? A flaw in my technique? A game bug?

TDC is a skill. It takes time to learn it.

I will take some time and watch the videos. I have already watched quite a few however. After reading my post, am I fundamentally doing something incorrectly with the process?

I misread. Easy mode with auto TDC, is point and fire. Why you are having issues is beyond me. The triangle turns green, then you fire, and should strike.
