I think it's a general rule of thumb to delete/uninstall everything-then run a registry then-reinstall the game when changing mega mods

very handy to have a "copy" of the initial stock game installation in its entirety so you can just delete the installation files and copy your backup copy into the same location. (works with Steam location too). Don't just delete save games. Delete the entire Users/name/documents/SH4/ folder. Don't worry. SH4 will create a new one when you restart the game, but you'll have to reset your graphic, sound, and gameplay settings.
