So i just splurged on an Alienware 34" ultrawide monitor and I was pleasantly surprised that SH5 w/ TWOS works almost flawlessly at that resolution. It gives me way more real estate to have extra tools open at all times such as the stopwatch and ship ID booklet.
That being said, i've noticed two small issues and I was wondering if anyone knew a way to fix them. The first and most glaring issue is that when I use the binoculars they appear to be zoomed in and I can't see the bearing marks at the top. I end up having to use the UZO to find targets quickly when surfaced which isn't the end of the world but the binos are generally easier and much better in rough seas. The second issue, and this is a super minor gripe, the FOV is suuuuuper wide. It's like i'm looking through a fish-eye lens. When I'm at the hydrophone i can see so much around the actual dial. that it seems kind of silly. The dial is this small thing in the middle of the screen. Is there anyway to adjust the FOV and/or intall a bino mod for this resolution? |
