SH5 possible problem

I lost my SH5 game a while back when i moved house. My mate has given me his copy, because he no longer plays it.

Will i be able to install his copy and use the serial code? it has the serial code inside the box

Hi Depseadiver welcome back to Subsim.
No you cannot as you are now the owner of a second-hand disc.
The CD key is locked to the original installation.
You would need to obtain a new CD key.

Yes, it has been a while.

Thats a bummer that i cannot use the game he gave me.

Just checked on pricing for SH5 I am not going to spend 26quid again

on purchasing it. Think i will wait to see what that new UBoat game is like.

sh5 is only 3 or 4 usd on steam!

Then DL the WOS mega mod from this site - it gives ya pretty much all ya need!

Is it? i looked and it said £26..does not appear to be option to purchase SH5 as a standalone game on steam. Only as a bundle..unless you see different?

however, i can purchase it via instant gaming for £4.11p and then log in to uplay and activate a key.

In the US store, it's $10, Steam, Game Stop and at Ubisoft themselves. According to my highly unreliable and totally inaccurate conversion table, about 6.2 GBP. It was on sale just the other day on Steam & Ubisoft for $2.99 US. I cannot get my computer to display any Great Britain stores, thank you very much Windows...

Ok i managed to re buy SH5 at avery good price of 4quid.

Can someone point me to the best mod or mods people are using nowadays for this please
