Yesterday they marked the anniversary.

I was before and still am a strict opponent to this kind of silly military shows. Thats no opposition tothe military, its just opposition to needlessly taking silly risks. Becasue its silly. If not insane. ![]()

I love air shows but I would have to agree with you on this. Any spectator sports with fast moving machines are dangerous to a degree but the potential risk is so much higher than I must admit to being reluctant to taking my family to any more of them.

I've been to most of the airshows here in the UK and because we have had our share of accidents the flightline and flying display areas are now always well away from the spectators resulting in the fact that photographers now need higher magnification lenses and the remainder are advised to use binoculars if they want an acceptable view.
Safety is of paramount importance these days and rightly so. |
