Sh4 and steam.

Can somebody give me a step by step how to get mods going with steam version of SH4 before I smash my tower to pieces? I used to have CD version before a divorce and she decided to take SH 3, 4, and 5 in a box cuz "it was her box" and after downloading on steam and teyi g to fiddle around with fall of the rising sun mod i get error that i cant even see. Help before i break something else

Keep in mind that some mods require patch 1.5, ie the U-Boat Missions

Thanks for the hel This got me going with FOTRS and TMO. I refer TMO but I also noticed in both mods I can't promote crewmen. They seem to promote automatically Call me old fashioned but I refer to promote them myself, anybody know a fix for this?
