Sh5 UK version

Ok guys so I’m going to buy this game. I am a fan of buying the disc. I found a UK version which is cheaper than the regular version. I’m from the states. Why is this version cheaper? Is it different? Will I have issues playing it here?

AFAIK all SH5 versions from wherever require UPlay account and server update to play, the Ubisoft servers being dead for this game since long. All this is a DRM measure.
What's important is that the game can be patched to version 1.2.0. If this is not possible (like the Steam version) the game will not be playable and no patch can be applied to correct that.

So be sure you get the 1.2.0 version and then you have to make a UPlay account for playing.

My experience with Ubisoft server years ago says that all this DRM will cause problems for playing normally. I don't know how UPlay has changed this (and rest assured that these 'servers' will not last forever...)

So is there absolutely no way to play this game offline? If not, then I would not invest in it.

I hope you get feedbacks from players playing via UPlay. I see no reason why offline play is not possible, but you will have to connect to the server at regular intervals, or the DRM would make no sense.

The Dvd unlike some downloads is not updated to the latest version v1.2.0.
The dvd has an internal updater which Uplay patches to update the game.
When you buy a dvd version you actually own it and is easier to install with the option of some choices like crew language, installing on any drive, keyboard, by selecting custom settings.
