Default Remembrance Day service

I am attending a remembrance day service in the village tomorrow. I expect it will be a low key affair but I was wondering if people generally wear medals whilst wearing civilian blazer and tie etc. What is the protocol for such things?

A google search showed several sites that describe the protocol of wearing military awards in civilian clothes.
