Guys, I have a big problem with SHIII/GWX and res fix or widescreen guis.
My system is Win10 64bit. When I wanna use res fix (changing resolution to my native 1680x1050) or enable any widescreen gui (which usually use 1360x768 resolution) I can't enter the game - there is a black screen. When I leave it and try start the game using standard resolution there is no problem. I think problem is in d3d9 files (dll and ini), which are main part of these mods. Could somebody play SHIII using res fix or widescreen gui? How to force Win10 to play the game with other resolution than standard? |

May have to do with your graphics card. Mine does 1366x768, not 1360. Had to change d3d9.ini. Easy fix. Might work for you.

My graphic card is Radeon R9 270 with the newest drivers from AMD.
Have to try 1366x768 instead of 1360x768, but what about 1280x1024? It's standard resolution for res fix, and it doesn't work either. |

Is 1280x1024 a supported resolution for your Radeon GPU? My nVidia GPU is picky.

Yes, it is. I think d3d9.ini and d3d9.dll are the problem. System doesn't recognise these files. If I delete them from game catalogue everything works.
