To put the cherry on top of a 100% realism gaming session, I want to start out at least using the actual historical protocol for targeting and engaging targets in general. Anyone have a good link for this or top of the head info?
Now I assume that different tools and techniques were used as the war went on. I mainly am interested in the techniques used at the time the game starts. DId they use the RAOFB? or the raofb + the attack disc, or did they not use those tools yet? What was the "protocol" used for distance of attack. Also was the fast shoot 90 degree 0degree gyro shoot used back then? Something else that has been bothering me is: What did uboat captains actually do? Did they actually get the range on targets or chart any? Or did they pretty much just stand around and give orders? Last edited by jrnesbit; 05-03-17 at 06:01 PM. |
