Epic fight off Malta

It's late October in '41, and I'm passing just northwest of Malta, heading for the western Med, when I spot a medium cargo. She's heading the same direction as me, so I ring up flank speed and prepare for a long, end around attack.
Suddenly, my lookout spots an aircraft, it's an Italian Ju-87, I get bummed that he'll probably steal my kill, so I enable the free cam and fly on over to the cargo ship.
The stuka makes it's first dive, and it's a beauty, the first bomb hits dead center in the stern, just forward of the stern mounted gun on the merchant. The second bomb hits the starboard side right at the water line. The merchant is now on fire, and the Stuka loops around for a second attack. This one plants a bomb right on the bridge, and the fourth one misses.
I notice that the merchant, while damaged, and on fire, doesn't seem to be going down, most of the hits were above the water line. So I keep pressing on for my attack set up, when a pair of Hurricanes arrive, I go to PD and the drop one bomb, way off course.
At this time, four more Stukas show up and proceed to attack the merchant, as I'm closing in, underwater, for my attack. The ship is now zig zagging wildly but three more bombs hit home, all forward of the bridge. Somehow, despite being on fire from stem to stern, she's still making 8kts.....until my two torpedoes bubble in and blow her in half. This all happened in about 45min of game time. It was epic.

You know using the external view is chea...pretty darn cool!

Stuff like that is the reason I still use it.

I've had Larry Luftwaffe steal my kills off Malta before. On that occasion, it was a flight of 4, Ju-88s. One other time, I was stalking a Norwegian freighter, on the surface, getting ready to deliver the killing shot, when suddenly, out of the clouds, I hear what sounds like a buzzing bee, with a shrill whine behind it, slowly increasing in pitch.
Look up in time to see a lone Ju-87 swoop in and steal my kill in a direct hit. Only cost me 2000 tons for a pretty good show...

I almost didn't attack, wanted to see if she'd sink on her own, score one for the Regia Aeronautica, but I didn't want to be accused of not being more aggressive
