Default V16B1 - Problem with Polish version

Hello everyone,

For starters, sorry if I will miss something in case of language or tech thingies.

I encountered a problem with updating my SH3 to V16B1, the patch screams at me, that it cannot find viable SH3.exe file.
I figured out, that in the menu the version id is 1.4, not 1.4b, as I believe should be(If I recall that correctly, it was a long time since I played SH3).

The real problem is that, the publisher in Poland(Cenega, they are responsible for the "Kolekcja Klasyki"(Classics collection) release) does not provide 1.4b, I could find only 1.4 patch on their site.
I searched and found 1.4b on the ubi site, by the help of subsim forums, but the EMEA patches cannot complete the process (They fail at the AFB_p38j.log file). I wonder if it is dependant on the language, but I'm not sure. I remember that previously I managed to patch that nasty game, but now I'm completely hopeless.

If there is a person, that can tell what possibly could cause my problems, I would greatly appreciate the help. However if there was the same problem which was solved on the forums and I've missed it, just provide the link and then burn me with fire, as I'm the idiot, who couldn't find it.

Just for the record... I want to patch the game and play with the NYGM mod, so if NYGM has that update included, see the sentence above. Kill me quickly

Thank you for any help you can provide

There was a mistake in the titles when the last patch was released. Version 1.4 is 1.4b.

If you have a version dated 2006 or later, it is already fully patched. That is probably the reason you get the message saying it doesn't recognize the version. It is already updated. You should be fine to go ahead and load NYGM.

I'm terribly sorry, I wasn't specific enogh I fear.

But thanks for help, this version was released between 2006-2008 I believe, so as you say, it should be v1.4b already...

But then there's the question why h.sie V16B1 patch cannot recognize the .exe file? Could it be caused by the language version? I don not think that should be relevant, but maybe there are slight differences?

Just to clear things up, the copy is not starforce protected.

I wanted to install the hardcoded fixes because as I believe not all of those are implemented in base NYGM. Or maybe they are in the newest version? I'm not really sure how it is...

Again, thank you Sailor Steve for your time

EDIT: Oh, yeah. In fact I am a complete idiot. I didn't notice the little fact, that with NYGM I got the Stiebler's 4C harcode fixes... Well, sorry for making so much trouble and thank you again.

EDIT2: Well, only now did I realize that the Stiebler 4C requires Stiebler 4, which requires h.sie V16B1. So the problem stays the same, w/o V16B1 I'm unable to do anything more.

Either I did it accidentaly or it was the work of some wise man, but my reply went to the topic with H.sie patch problems.

As I said there, I do not use any AV software, so that is not the case.
I will in some free time read everything more cautiously because that problem must have had occured to someone else.

Anyways, thank you all for the help, I will be a good sailor and continue my crusade in the propper topic

Sail safe!
