As I'm fairly inexperienced in both Silent hunter and the cruel sea in real life I was wondering how long a storm at sea lasts, and how that compares to those in silent hunter.

I've been tasked with going to prowl a grid off of the west coast of the US and have been in a storm for the best part of 3 days, only really been surfacing for air and batteries because the watch crew have been getting knackered pretty quickly.

how long do storms last in silent hunter? because I don't want to spend a week going at 4 knots to preserve battery power and gradually wearing my crew out before I get to sink anything

The stock game has a bug in it so that when the weather is 15 m/s wind, heavy fog and heavy rain, it can go on for several months before changing. There are fixes though, either through mods or standalone weatherfix programs.

So the best way to solve it would be a mod or something?
